Our Statement of Faith in Brief
Our faith is the core of who we are as believers in Christ and as a church. Choice Hills Baptist Church takes a kind, but unapologetic stand upon our faith in God and His word. Here is a brief summary our beliefs:
- We believe the Bible. It is our sole rule for our faith and practice, both in our church and in our personal lives. We believe the Bible is God’s word. It is the truth. We use the historical-grammatical method of biblical interpretation. We believe and use the King James Bible exclusively.
- We believe that salvation from sin is a gift of God, given by the grace of God, through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross. We believe He bodily arose from the dead on the third day. We believe all that repent and trust in Christ alone are forgiven of all their sin and saved from eternal condemnation in the lake of fire. We are neither Calvinist nor Arminian.
- We are an independent, unaffiliated local Baptist church. Our association with other churches is voluntary and is based on upon common faith and practice.
- We are premillennial. We are non-charismatic.
- We hold these beliefs sincerely because of our personal, thoughtful study of the scripture. We teach and share these truths in love.
