Matthew the Publican introduces the Lord Jesus Christ to us in the first book of the New Testament as the King of kings. From His genealogy, to the visit by the Wise Men, to His message “The kingdom of heaven is at hand!”, the Lord Jesus is announced as the rightful, promised, and eternal King of Israel. In our study of the Book of Matthew, we will explore the words and works of our King to discover the answer the prophetic question, “Who is this king of glory?” (Psalm 24:10).
